Elvis Costello and the Attractions came to the State Palace Theater in New Orleans in 1994. I swear I remember at the time being impressed to hear that a percentage of the ticket sales were being donated to this run-down venue, but I haven't been able to find records that support this recollection. Regardless, they totally rocked.
